A-1 Academy of Driving Brantford

Ryan just completed his driving
program with your school in Brantford, ON. I must say that being a
graduate of Mike's Driving School here in Brantford and receiving the
excellent instruction and in-car driving lessons set up by their
instructors, I see how poorly your School and programs are run by your
instructors.

Ryan was to attend a 2 weekend (4 days total) driving course and
only received a one day, 5 hour long supposedly complete classroom
driving instruction. It is impossible to teach so much information to
one individual in such a short period of time. Questioning the content
of what was taught to him we could clearly tell that he did not receive
the complete instruction as to what his $490 were supposed to provide
him. Moving on to the 10 hours of in car driving lessons, several times
his instructor (who is from Hamilton, ON and his name is Harry) would
talk on the cell phone while my brother drove around Brantford. That is
not teaching what so ever. When you pay for someone to teach you how to
drive safely and responsibly you are on your customers time, not your
own! Completely unacceptable. Great role model for a young man to learn
from. Also he knows next to nothing surrounding defensive driving and
just having completed his 10 hours today, he is still making mistakes he
made before he even attended your program!

In short, he was swindled and taken advantage of. He did not receive
anywhere near the service that you describe on the A1 website and we
have already begun to let our family and friends know how poorly of a
school you run. He is nowhere near the skill and confidence level to
pass his G1 exit test to receive his G2. His instructor did not even do a
mock G2 road test like the one I was given by Mike's Driving.

We demand that he receive some form of refund or additional hours
from a different instructor as well as more in class instruction so that
he may reach the level of driving he was supposed to get originally. I
am prepared to contact and file a complaint with the Better Business
Bureau and continue to speak of how poor the A1 school and service is if
I do not receive a speedy response and resolution over all of this. I
am also prepared to post this exact email and the outcome online.

I just finished the full course with A-1 academy. they have helped me alot through good in-class an d on-road instruction. the instructors are very knowledgable and helpful. i had a great experience and i passed the first time i went for my G2 test yayyyyy….

 Instructor and was always on time for lesson and made full use of the time available making for great value for money. He made it easier to fit lesson into my day by starting or ending lessons at college which is great during school/college terms. He made me feel at ease being a learner on the road by being patient and understanding but also pushing me to higher level of driving of which he felt I was personally capable and he made sure that if i felt i was being pushed too hard I could say so and that would be fine. He always told me what I was doing well and what I needed to work on and how at the end of every lesson making it easier and quicker to progress. He worked on all parts of the practical and theory tests making sure I was ready for everything. I passed first time and would recommend this driving school to anyone!

“Fun and Great value for money”
Driving instuctor he was very enthusiastic and always had a good laugh in the lessons. Good teaching technique very patient and knows what he’s teahcing you and will make sure you learn it correctly and quickly. He has good tips for you to use on your maneuvers so you can complete them succesfully and correctly.

A1 academy of driving was able to bring something new in table. – They have a clear and precised method/Illustrations/Diagrams etc. That the instructor would use to teach to newly drivers. – worth of money friendly Instructor. – Quick and Easy to Learn.My instructor is a friendly, kind, calm and approachable instructor. The experience was sublime. I had a great time learning with him It wasn’t boring we always have a laugh.

My first son I sent him for driving in Brantford with YD.My second son Mathew ,I sent him in a1 academy.
I was thinking with YD paying more to get the super class driving education.but I was wrong,my first son failed the driving test three times Due to poor trainning. my second son pass the driving test first time,that was due to his driving Instructor Eric. He is real professional,he know his job very well.Thanks Eric for your hardwork.

Thanks to Eric I managed to pass my test first time ! He made me feel so at ease during lessons and at the same time of being friendly he was also very professional. Eric is a legend ! I strongly recommend him if you want to pass first time !

I started taking driving lessons with Eric and passed my test first time. I
did not have any lessons before starting with Eric so managed to pass my test
within a short time period. This wouldn’t have been possible without Eric. Eric is
an amazing driving instructor who will help you every step of the way. When I
was unsure about anything such as maneuvers or traffic signs Eric would go out of
his way to explain everything I needed to know. He was very patient, encouraging
and good company. I would recommend Eric to everyone as he is a great teacher.

PASSED MY TEST  TODAY AND WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND MY DRIVING INSTRUCTOR HARRY. HARRY WAS A VERY CALM NATURE
WHILE TEACHING WHICH REALLY PUTS YOU AT EASE.
HE IS JUST AS EAGER TO PASS AS YOU ARE, SO HE WILL DO ANYTHING
THAT HE CAN TO HELP YOU LEARN TO DRIVE IN YOUR OWN TIME AND WITH REAL
HONESTY. HARRY WILL ALWAYS ACCOMMODATE
WITH TIMES THAT WILL SUIT YOU AND YOU CAN BOOK LESSONS IN ADVANCE, WHICH I FOUND
REALLY HELPED WHEN YOU ARE WORKING TO A TEST DATE. HE IS VERY PUNCTUAL AND HAS
NEVER LET ME DOWN.OVERALL I HAD A GREAT
INSTRUCTOR WHO HAS MADE ME INTO A MORE CONFIDENT DRIVER AND I WOULD LIKE TO
RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYBODY WHO IS ABOUT TO START LEARNING TO DRIVE. SINATH AND NAYE PRAY THAT ELIZABETH PASSES HER TEST ON FRIDAY. BB ME.

All of us called the A1 phone number and were all told by a man who could hardly speak english that our instructor was ‘stuck in traffic’. When our instructor finally showed up, there was no hurrying down the hallway, no apologies, in fact, he didn’t even open his mouth once to say one word to any of us. Even when we walked into the classroom there was no ‘you can sit down’ or ‘hi my name is…’ NOTHING. when I asked if we were going to go later to make up the 20 minutes that we missed I got a ‘no.’ and an eyebrow raise like I was asking too much there …. needless to say I left and would not recommend this driving school to any one. Especially since this is $500 of your hard earned money that clearly won’t be made up if your instructor were to show up late. Thank you A1 for the GREAT experience you left me with…I will now be behind all my other friends who already will have their G2′s for the summer while I run around Brantford trying to find another acceptable driving school.

I was in the same class room and the Instructor was a bit late but it was raining that day. The lady was crazy she did not even let the Instructor talk and before he could she told her daughter lets go. In are class we had 5 people then and we learned a lot. I am more  confident now he made the class time ago so fast. The instructor was on time the next class. He was their when I came early at around 4:20. I had fun in the class so did my sister 10 months ago. I don’t get why this lady could not under stand that the instructor was stuck in traffic it was raining. I have had 2 classes and cant wait for the 3 class.

I would like to recommend A1, especially Ivy for being an excellent instuctor I passed first time in no time at all, she is very professional and thorough yet friendly and makes you feel very comfortable to.I would like to say a big thank you!

I just passed my driving test with Shree.
I always put myself down and i ve never believe that i can pass it. I ve had
spent so long worrying about it. My instructor always supported me and helped me
believe in myself. He was very patient, polite and reliable. Always calm and
very very punctual.I would highly recommend Shree to teach you how to drive.
